NO. It may feel strange at first and you will know you have something on your head for the first day or two, but after that you will not feel that they are there.
After putting in the extensions, can you wear your hair up?
YES. The extensions should not be applied lower than the base of your scalp (about even with the middle of your ears) and so your hair under this point covers the extensions while you wear your hair up.
How to take care of the extensions?
Brush out all knots before you wash your hair with a soft bristle brush. Use a wide tooth comb or fingers to loosen wavy hair. Gradually wet the hair and brush gently before you completely wash it. When lots of water is added at once to very dry hair, hair can swell up and tangle.
Wash, condition and moisturize your hair twice a week with warm or cold water. Extensions do not receive your natural scalp oils, so it need to have moisture added every wash. If you do not moisturize your hair extensions, they will become brittle and break easily.
After washing and conditioning apply some good leave-in conditioner, use this product to freshen and moist the hair between washes. Never use plain water. But do not over do it. Too much leave-in conditioners and other hair care products will create a build up on the hair and will cause it to tangle faster.
Let the hair air dry whenever possible. Be careful with the use of blow-dryers and curling irons. Avoid applying heat to the bonded areas. The more you use the heat, the shorter your hair extensions will last.
Wash the hair immediately after swimming, spa, exercise, etc. When dirt and sweat accumulate, hair tangles. When swimming, always wear a cap to prevent exposure to chlorine or salt water which causes the hair to tangle. Always wash the hair right away with shampoo and conditioner after swimming in both types of water. When going to the spa, the hair should be wrapped in a cold wet towel.
NEVER sleep on wet hair. Make sure the hair is completely dry before going to bed. It is also recommended to wrap your hair together or gently tie it up to prevent tangling.
It would be advisable NOT to tint, color, perm or do any extra chemical processes because it has already been treated. Please be extra careful with blonde and the other light colored hair. They are more chemically processed than the dark hair. Therefore, we will not be responsible for the outcome.
